2. General information

Personal data is any information that can directly or indirectly identify a natural person. This privacy notice explains which data is processed when you visit this website or contact us, the purposes of the processing and your rights.

3. Hosting and server log data

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When the website is accessed, the hosting provider processes technical access data. This may include the requested page or file, referrer URL, browser type and version, operating system, device type, access time and an anonymised IP address.

Processing is carried out to provide the website securely, reliably and without technical errors on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the reliable and secure operation of our website. According to IONOS, these visitor data are stored for eight weeks and are not transferred to third countries.

4. IONOS WebAnalytics

As part of the web-hosting service, IONOS may provide anonymised statistical evaluations of website usage. According to IONOS, the IP address is anonymised immediately upon collection. The evaluation serves to optimise the technical performance, security and stability of the website. We do not set analytics or marketing cookies for this purpose.

5. Language selection and local storage

Your selected language is stored in your browser's local storage under the name “ibd-language”. This allows the website to be displayed in the selected language on a later visit. This storage is required for the convenience function requested by you. The legal basis is Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG in conjunction with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can delete the entry at any time through your browser settings.

6. Fonts

This website uses only fonts available on the user’s system. No font files are loaded from Google Fonts or other external font providers. Displaying the fonts therefore does not establish a connection to external font providers.

7. Contact form and enquiries

If you contact us through the contact form, by email or by telephone, we process the information you provide in order to handle your enquiry. The contact form processes in particular your full name, email address, subject and message. You may also voluntarily provide your company, telephone number, project country and location, project phase, available residues or feedstocks, available quantities, target product or project objective, and project documents as files. Uploaded files are transmitted by email together with the form message and are used solely to handle the enquiry.

For enquiries relating to a possible or existing contractual relationship, processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other business enquiries are processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the appropriate handling and documentation of business enquiries.

The information will be deleted when it is no longer required to handle the enquiry or a possible subsequent business relationship and no statutory retention obligation applies. Commercially or tax-relevant correspondence may be retained for longer in accordance with statutory periods.

8. Recipients of data

Personal data is disclosed only where necessary to provide the website, handle your enquiry, fulfil contractual or legal obligations or protect legitimate interests. Recipients may include hosting and email service providers and, where appropriate, project partners or advisers involved in the relevant subject matter. Data is shared with project partners only where required for the specific enquiry and legally permitted.

9. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR, takes place.

10. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have the right of access to your personal data, rectification of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing based on Article 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.

11. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For businesses established in Saxony-Anhalt, the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Saxony-Anhalt is generally responsible. You may also contact another supervisory authority competent under Article 77 GDPR.

12. Data security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. Please note that data transmission over the internet may nevertheless involve security risks.

13. Updates to this privacy notice

Last updated: July 2026. This privacy notice will be updated if the website, the services used or the legal requirements change.
